Retomando la metáfora del martillo, puedo separar la cuña del mango y hacer cosas no previstas con cada una de sus partes, puedo incluso construir otra herramienta, hacer una estaca, una plomada y después volver a ensamblarlo. Y puedo hacerlo sin que el fabricante del martillo me demande. Lo interesante del software libre para quienes creamos símbolos es la posibilidad de ir más allá de los resultados industrialmente previstos, lo cual ofrece una potencialidad creativa enorme.
